Welcome to my world of photography
I’m Tamar Shemesh - my last name means “sun” in Hebrew. I’m an award-winning documentary and editorial photographer based in Brooklyn New York.
I bring my documentary eye to events, capturing them through a storytelling approach; focusing on the little moments, the small-talk, the atmosphere, and the natural rhythm of each space.
I’m a graduate of the International Center of Photography, and my work has been published in TIME, Insider, ZEIT and more, and exhibited internationally.
